History

Kula devi is the family goddes of family and originated back to the time when the family originated. Shri Mamalmataji is the Kuldevi of teh Dedhia family and dates back to hundreds of year. She gives us blessings of happiness, prosperity, growth and promises to reach us at the hour of our need and as and when we remember her.

Shri Mamalmataj's temple is situated in Bhujpur, Kutch at Patel Chowk. Whenever there is an auspicious occasion such as a wedding or birth; the family members visit the temple and seek the blessing of Shri Mamalmataji.

The Dedhia family meets once every eyar to pray to her and seek her blessing. The new born babies have to sacrifice their hair and offer at the feet of Kuldevi Shri Mamalmataji. This is known as "Mundan" or Chirjuhar".

"Varshik Juhar" is made with 1kg Wheat, 7 Makal(ladoos) for Kuldevi Shri Mamalmataji and 5 Makal(Ladoos) for Shri Ganeshji, Shri Kshetrapal dada's "Til Penda" made out of 1.25kg til. 5 Makal (Ladoos) to be offered. This ritual is compulsorily done at Shri Mamalmataji's Temple, Bhujpur.
